4. GPhC Standards for pharmacy professionals

The standards apply to all pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in Great Britain. There are nine standards that every pharmacy professional is responsible for meeting.

The standards for pharmacy professionals describe how safe and effective care is delivered. They are a statement of what people expect from pharmacy professionals, and also reflect what pharmacy professionals have expressed that they expect of themselves and their colleagues.

GPhC - Standards for Pharmacy Professionals

Read the standards and complete and upload a  GPhC Planned Learning Form to your e-portfolio.

As part of your reflection you should also be thinking about;

  • Who are the GPhC?
  • What is their purpose?
  • What does your registration with them mean?

You may wish to submit this entry as one of your CPD records for revalidation.

Learning note: You may want to download the GPhC app to your smartphone or tablet for reference.
