The Pharmacy Workforce Development South is based in the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
As a result of the Specialist Pharmacy Service transformation process, the South West Medicines Information Service has now closed.
Healthcare professionals in primary care (including community pharmacy) in England, can now obtain medicines advice from the Specialist Pharmacy Service.

The training team offers a range of courses and training for the pharmacy workforce in the South. Training schemes for pharmacists, preregistration trainee pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, preregistration trainee pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants are all co-ordinated by this department.
PWDS team members also work with a range of partners including Health Education England, Bridgwater & Taunton College, NICE and CPPE on various projects.
